一定要沉醉。这就是关键 - 这是唯一的路。为了能忽略时光的沉重，为了不被时间压垮压弯， 你一定要沉醉。
沉醉于何物？沉醉于美酒，沉醉于诗歌，或是沉醉于美德，只要你愿意，任何选择都可以。但, 你一定要沉醉。
如果，有时， 在一座宫殿的台阶上或在沟壑的绿草坡上，在你孤独凄凉的空房间里，你醒了，醉意消退或醉意已失，那么， 你就去问问风，问问浪，问问群星，问问飞鸟，问问时钟，问所有流逝的，问所有叹息呻吟的，问所有辗转反侧的，问所有唱歌的，问所有说话的，问问它们，现在是什么时辰了。 那么，风，浪，星，鸟，钟都会回答：“到了沉醉的时候了！“

You have to be always drunk. That's all there is to it—it's the only way. So as not to feel the horrible burden of time that breaks your back and bends you to the earth, you have to be continually drunk.
But on what? Wine, poetry or virtue, as you wish. But be drunk. And if sometimes, on the steps of a palace or the green grass of a ditch, in the mournful solitude of your room, you wake again, drunkenness already diminishing or gone, ask the wind, the wave, the star, the bird, the clock, everything that is flying, everything that is groaning, everything that is rolling, everything that is singing, everything that is speaking. . .ask what time it is and wind, wave, star, bird, clock will answer you: "It is time to be drunk! So as not to be the martyred slaves of time, be drunk, be continually drunk! On wine, on poetry or on virtue as you wish."
